1 + BOB EVANS’ CADIFEE FORTUNATUS, 30, M, 20.3.2008
A rather nervous kitten who did settle down when he was out of the pen and being handled. He was cobby, muscular and strong with good type and balance. The head had breadth with a round face and full cheeks. Ears medium but set well apart. They were rounded at the tips but a little prominent at present. Full cheeks. The eyes were large, round and expressive. The colour is still a little muddy. Short, broad nose. Chin sloped away but the bite was level. Cobby body with depth of chest and strong legs with large, round paws. Good tail. Short, dense coat with a good texture. Warmer in tone when out of the pen and clearly defined spotting with minimal linkage.

BRITISH TORTOISESHELL ADULT:
1 CC BOB EVANS’ SLIABH NORTHERNIGHT (Imp) 1.7.05 F. A large and well built girl showing very good maturity and very well presented. Good rounded head with neat well set ears with width between them. Large round eyes of a very good deep golden colour with a good short straight nose and well filled cheeks sand rounded muzzle. Good chin and nice level bite. Very nice heavyweight body with very good muscle tone for a female and of very good stocky build. Excellent short thick plushy coat which had very good mingling of shades and red against the black apart from her chin and chest which did have rather a large area of red. Nice length tail with all elements present. Some slight scurf near her tail today but she was otherwise very well presented and with a lovely friendly nature.

1.BUJALSKA-AXON DELPHINIUM MIGHTY ATOM (16) M 29/08/07 Blue. This was a stunning boy, but he was very upset by his neighbours so it was a quick assessment. Huge full round head with wide smooth skull between neat well set ears, round orange eyes, nicely developed rounded cheeks and muzzle, level bite and good chin. Large well filled frame with deep chest and rump and strong level back, super well boned legs with large round paws. Nice density and texture to coat a mid blue, medium thick tail with rounded tip
2. EVAN’S CADIFEE FORTUNATUS (30) M 20/03/08 Brown Spotted A lovely natured boy, just very adolescent and feminine looking at the moment. Small round head with more width needed between medium sized ears, round orange eyes, short broad nose, small but round cheeks and muzzle that are filling out, level bite and fair pale coloured chin. Good size to frame but a little on the light side, he just needs to fill. There is nice density to the coat, it is lacking warmth and with some greying to roots, the spine line is a little linked the side spots clearer, balanced length tail with rings.

I really loved this girl’s furry tufts between her toes, especially the back feet that looked just like snowshoes! Very attractive and beautifully groomed girl, just showing some slight staining around her eyes and on her front feet. Rounded head, good breadth to skull, delicate ears and full cheeks. Good cobby body shape, and long and thick silky texture to the coat.
2ND, EVANS’ SHEERBLISS SUPER TROUPER, 70 12a5t, RED TABBY & WHITE EXOTIC MALE, 10.07.08
This boy certainly has the round and massive head shape the breed is renowned for, small round tipped ears are set wide apart, full cheeks and very short broad nose. Large, round eyes, little too bold for absolute perfection and slightly pink around the rims. Good body size and weight, short thick strong legs, and super firm round paws, lovely white

Ms L Borch
It was a big joy when I received the invitation by Siamese and All Breeds Cat Club of Ireland to come and judge at their 57th annual cat show. The show little manager Mrs. Veronica Brooks did from the very start her outmost to welcome me, so with little butterflies in my stomach did I make my way to Dublin on the 16th October early morning. I had the pleasure of the time to look around in the afternoon in Dublin centre which I have not seen before. It was also fine that I could get a flight Sunday evening in fine time. I was made most welcome Saturday evening where we had a most enjoyable dinner and where I met part of the board and a couple of the other judges. Sunday morning I was introduced to the rest and not the least my very nice and most capable steward Sarah Bowles who was an outstanding support during the whole day. I cannot thank here enough with her perfect knowledge of the GCCF show rules and practicalities along the way.
The day started as normal with a nice group of British Short Hair and Burmese GR CH.
1. Blacktortie British Short Hair female Grand Champion: Sliabh Northernight GR CH (21) female 01.07.2005. It was a lovely big sturdy female in excellent body for the breed. Lovely broad rounded head and fine short perfect profile, fine wide set ears of nice size.
Beautiful short dense coat and excellent mix of colours. A true tortie with a strong character, but nice and manageable. She was awarded the GR CC.

His muzzle is round including chin and a slightly under shot bite. The neck is short on deep chest and compact cobby body. The barred legs are short and sturdy. The thick tail is ringed and short. Body coat is soft and dense and quite well marked. Happy and laid back.
2 EVANS SHEERBLISS SUPER TROUPER (70 12a5t) M 10.07.08 Superb type red tabby? & white lad with a fantastic plush dense coat with vibrant red patches and the most stunning bold burning copper eyes. Almost everything about this boy I liked except for lack of tabby markings and alas an unacceptable bite.
AV Charity Class Adult - Two British ladies. 1, CALLAN & RUSSELL'S LABRYS WARRIOR PRINCESS, (14a), F, 1yr 8mths. Beautiful compact girl with a crisp dense coat of truly sparkling white. Broad head with wide cheeks, neat ears. Well spaced round eyes of vibrant coppery-orange with alert expression. Excellent profile with short straight nose, appropriate break and deep chin, good bite. Strong cobby body with short legs and round paws, medium length tail to balance.
2, EVANS' SLIABH NORTHERNIGHT, (21) F, 5yrs 3mths. Impressive girl, fairly massive in size, even tended to make the winner look a bit small by comparison as they were penned next to each other. She had a lovely head with typical rounded contours, full cheeks and deep chin. Round light amber eyes which could have been bigger. She had an excellent thick coat which was well tortied, but I could not give a complete examination as she became upset.

It was a joy to don my white coat and be among the HP section once more albeit all the exhibits who arrived on the hot day were pedigree pets --- thanks to Chris for trusting me to judge and also to my first time steward Neil Richardson who handled the cats with great expertise.
Class: Self adult with or without white; 1st Gardener’s USHER, an outstanding lovely large SH cream and white lad of 2 years 10 months who was very laid back and handled like a dream displaying his excellent coat, bright golden eyes and all round 'purrfect’ condition. Very well presented and one I’d happily have brought home. It was a joy to later give him best in show for the HP section.
2nd Russell’s DONALD a 9 year old SH blue and white gentleman of Korat type, who was a bit grumpy and looked out at the fields longingly. Unusual coat texture which was well groomed and his bright green eyes watched our progress around the pens. He became chatty once back in the comfort of his pen.
Class: Tabby adult of any pattern: 1st Brett’s MC PRINCE DAYBREAK aged 5 years, who lived up to his name. A soft and gentle lad with beautiful long coat spoilt just little by a few knots under his back legs. Very easy to handle and loving temperament, but was a bit sleepy so we never fully saw the brightness of his amber eyes. Sparkling teeth! Really enjoyed a cuddle.
Class AOC kitten: 1st Marshall’s DOUGAL aged 3 months and a very well behaved young man for his very first show. He was just so easy to handle and his coat simply sparkled with a very pleasing red point pattern; beautifully prepared and his bright blue eyes and perfect white teeth were outstanding. A chatty lad who liked all the attention.
