2006 NEWS:

PREVIOUS YEARS CLICK: 2004 2005

Dec 25th 2006

All the cats had new coloured balls and the kittens little blue mice for Christmass ---

Donna and Georgie took to a polite game of ‘footie’ all over the landing, down the stairs and everywhere they could get to!

Now we can happily say Lilycroft had a GOOD Ofsted report with a few outstanding comments --- well done the staff and our superb pupils!

Dec 10th

It‘s nearing the school holidays and Lilycroft has OFSTED --- the inspector gave me an interview.

Results can nut be published just yet

Dec 4th

If I’m getting no food today, let’s see if I can catch waterever that is on the bathroom window.

Georgie and Donna chase the leaves that hit the window during the windy weather before he leaves for SVCC

Surgery so over and he is home safely and pretty quiet.

Next time he is at a show he’ll be looking for a PC

September 6th.

Nutmeg (a.k.a. Sliabh Northernight) had SIX kittens with minimal problem --- she chose the top level of the pent house,

but was content to remove to the kitten pen in my bedroom once all safely settled.

The dogs and sacral cats came to and from to ensure all was going well.

Bracken once more a proud sire.

There are two black, two brown spotted, one ? tortie tabby & a red boy!

CORK August 27th

George and 2 kittens had their 1st experience of sea-voyaging and the long drive across Eire to Cork.

They quickly settled in the Travelodge and were bright and ready for the show next day.

This was one of those DREAM DAYS

Georgie had a red card day and as well as 1st CC & BOB he was later in the resplendent blue BOV pen.

He looked quite smart crossing the BIS table of esteemed judges.

Donna (Cadifee Domnina) had a red card apart from 1 class where she was beaten to 2nd by the Martin’s Asian Kitten,

Sliabh Bettydavisyes, who was BIS kitten and reserve BIS.

Donna was much happier than Georgie in her golden BOV pen

To judges Mrs R Fisher, Ronnie Brooks and Mrs Skilling --- thank so much

Also thanks to Mr John McDonnell for my day stewarding.

To the show team thank you so much for the gifts and lunch and everything else that made it such a day to remember

Georgie peers hopefully into the massive cup which we borrowed for a photograph as trophies have to remain in Eire

Donna also borrowed her trophy

Donna in her BOV pen

August 14th --- Eve of the Assumption

Today David went to his new home.

Kiselle has grown increasingly unwell over the last 3 days and this evening the decision had to be made

as Kiselle was having great difficulty breathing and could not keep food down.

It is barely 3 weeks since realised she was ill

Kevan, vet nurse, Elizabeth and I said farewell as she was gently euthanised. Kevan has Kiselle 1st son, Dotty’s litter brother.

She died quietly and her suffering is over.

To Betty and Jeanette Knapp (Kernmere) Thank you so much for letting me have this wonderful Queen

To all who have judged her and given so many accolades thank you so much ---

and especially Alan Edwards who included her in those famed ‘BSH annual reviews’

--- she has been a wonderful companion and will not be forgotten

Little Donna shares a moment with her Gt Gt Gran

We sat in the garden and Kiselle borrowed the dogs settle to enjoy some fresh air on her last day

Kiselle

The end of July brought worrying news for Kiselle --- the mammary cancer has returned on both sides.

Our wonderful vet Kevan has agreed we let her enjoy the time we have together. It was hard to tell Betty

and Jeanette and I must thank them for their support.
